Samuel L. Haire, 66, Rt 8, Crawfordsville died this morning in Westminister Village, Greenwood.  He had been a resident there four months.  He was a retired construction supervisor for Armco Steel Corp, Baltimore, Md.  He retired from Armco in 1976 and moved to Crawfordsville.  He was a member of New Richmond Christian Church, New Richmond Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite at Indianapolis.  He was a graduate of Jackson HS.  Born Nov 2, 1911 at New Richmond, he was a son of Ulysses and Nancy Wills Haire.  He married Grace Fruits of New Richmond May 11, 1938. She is deceased.  Survivors include a stepson, Donald Mundorff of Franklin; a brother, James Haire of Westchester, Ill; a sister, Mrs.,  Wilma Kochell of rural Kingman; two stepsisters, Mrs. Wilma Kochell of rural Kingman; two stepsisters, Mrs. Irene Grabman and Mrs. Inus Brown both of Crawfordsville; and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter.  The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown.  The Rev. Arthur Schenck officiated.  Burial will be in Waybnetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.  Masonic services 8 p.m. Tuesday. - kz
